“The ideal sauna is a small building made of logs, set near a lakeshore, facing toward the sunset.” — Bernhard Hillila,
With the evolution of Saunas there are various methods of how a room is heated.
These Include: –
Wood Burning Saunas: – Wood is used to heat the Sauna Room and the Sauna Rocks.
Electrical Heater: – A electric heater Heats the Sauna Room. In the electric Sauna the Sauna stones are placed over the element which is heated using electricity. The common sauna stones that are used today are volcanic which can withstand extreme heat and thus ensuring longer life of the rocks/stones.
Infrared Saunas: – Unlike the Electric heater and Wood burning Saunas where the room temperature may go up to 90° Celsius, the room temperature for Infrared Saunas range from anywhere between 40° Celsius to 60° Celsius. The room is heated using Infrared panels that are attached to the walls of the room.
